Blowin’ Off The Cobwebs

Following the cease of the Festive Season, and now tomorrow I dutifully return to UCA, I feel it appropriate to make another post of my work, just before I do return.
In theory, you can’t remove the cobwebs from an internet post, so what I’m really getting at, is that I haven’t posted in ages, which I am changing.

Now onto my work, if you care to look at some earlier posts, you would have seen the development of my work, from illustrations inspired by ‘The Economist’ and Tom J. Newell, as well as LinoPrint and some digital pieces.

Now, with all the work I created, which doesn’t feel like a whole bunch, I made it digital, as the colour and result that I could achieve was a  lot greater in my opinion.
And with them being digital, I was also able to play with variations of colour, and again, improve the aesthetics of all of my work as a whole centre piece and series.

Perfume, It Has A Place In Your Heart

Tugging On The Heart Strings

These are the subsequent colours that I explored, and looking at them, I realise that different colour work better for the two designs.
The design which features a bottle of perfume in the centre of a rudimentary heart, works more successfully in pink, where as the heart on puppet strings below, looks much greater in light blue.

The outcome of the designs are ones of which I am proud of, but I am deeply considering making another upon my return to UCA.

Also, just on a side-note as I am proud of this, I have kept my journal up-to-date with everything I do, and also much more richly detailed.
